Jean-Pierre cultivates vines that belonged to his grandfather, some of which are now more than 100 years old. The low yields and a patient ‘elevage’ before bottling here bring out the best of the well-recognised potential from the single ‘cru’ of Morgon, with its very particular soils and their capacity to produce wines that age extremely well for many years and represent one of the remaining real bargains in the world of good Burgundy.
